Radical Sight-Saving Procedure Performed in Australia for the First Time
A radical procedure to restore a patient’s vision using a lens embedded in an extracted tooth has been performed for the first time in the southern hemisphere. The procedure, osteo-odonto keratoprosthesis, was performed at Sydney Eye Hospital by a team led by ophthalmologist and Nexus partner surgeon Dr Greg Moloney.
