Project Completion
The extensive expansion works at Manningham Private Hospital have resulted in the addition of two theatres, an expanded Recovery area, and an upgrade to CSSD.
The renovations have also delivered much improved amenities and workspaces for our staff, and refreshed the look and feel of the hospital.
Located on Level 3 in the Manningham Medical Centre in Lower Templestowe, the hospital provides a highly specialised environment providing services to patients undergoing eye surgery and endoscopy procedures.
The care and attention to detail throughout the build has resulted in a world-class facility which will serve Melbournians for many years to come.

The expansion works
We are excited to advise that our expansion project is well underway.
The first stage of the building works required the demolition of our new leasehold space which will ultimately house our new theatres and extended recovery area. Seen here during the first week, removal of the partitioning revealed the natural light which will be a feature of the development.
This stage also includes the building of new staff amenities.
Undertaking works of this nature whilst maintaining normal hospital operations creates challenges, and we are grateful to have the tolerance and co-operation of our patients and their carers, our doctors, and our very dedicated team at Manningham Private.
Our Development Plans
Nexus Hospitals is proud to formally announce and share our plans to expand Manningham Private Hospital. Our construction will include:
- Two additional theatres, purpose built for endoscopy and suited to a range of specialties.
- Enhancement of the hospital entrance, with a larger waiting room and patient-friendly facilities.
- Expansion and further upgrade to our CSSD.
- Increased capacity of our recovery area to ten Stage 1 and 15 Stage 2 beds, improving both our patient and staff experience.
- Construction of new staff amenities, including expanded changerooms and a larger, more functional staffroom.
- Relocation of our laser suite improving patient access.
- A general “facelift” to existing areas of the hospital to ensure a uniformly high quality of finish and presentation of the entire facility. We believe this is an important investment in maintaining a boutique service for patients and a high-quality workplace for our staff and surgeons.
