Pennant Hills Day Surgery granted surgical license
We are thrilled to announce that Pennant Hills Day Surgery (PHDS) has recently been granted a surgical licence allowing us to expand services offered to the community in Sydney’s north-west. Oral maxillofacial surgeon Dr Kim Tsao has recently joined the Nexus team and successfully performed his first OMF cases under the new licence. The successful application for a full surgical licence has paved the way for PHDS to offer other surgical specialties with OMF surgery, the first of its kind to be provided at the facility.
To obtain the surgical licence PHDS, underwent a significant redevelopment project which included the establishment of a central sterilising services department (CSSD). The new CSSD will support future surgical specialties as they become available at the hospital.
While Pennant Hills Day Surgery has primarily focused on endoscopy, colonoscopy and pain management procedures in the past, the full surgical licence now allows for a broader range of surgical options for the community. The hospital is purpose built with three theatres providing world class healthcare services in a boutique environment to the northern suburbs of Sydney. At PHDS our team are focussed on providing our patients the very best in patient care and look forward to watching our hospital grow with the new opportunities a full surgical licence will bring.
