Farewell Tracy Cameron – CEO of Windsor Private Hospital
This week we say farewell to Tracy Cameron, CEO of Windsor Private Hospital, who is stepping down to focus on life outside work.
Tracy’s involvement with Windsor Private Hospital began when she joined the accounting team managing the Avenue Plastic Surgery in 2002. Later renamed Windsor Private Hospital, the day surgery was a one-theatre facility servicing the adjacent plastic and reconstructive practice owned by Dr Allan Kalus. During the next 12 years, additional plastic surgeons joined, and the facility changed from a day surgery to a private hospital, with two registered overnight beds.
In late 2014, as plans were formulated to double the size of the hospital by building a second theatre, updating the existing theatre, and improving the CSSD, Tracy took on the role of General Manager. As the new theatres were commissioned in 2018, Tracy was appointed CEO, and in that capacity worked very closely with the Nexus team leading up to the June 2019 acquisition of Windsor Private Hospital.
With Nexus, Tracy has worked collaboratively with Director of Nursing Fran Kelly to strategically expand the services and throughput of the hospital. Interventional pain, ophthalmology, oculoplastic and vascular procedures were all introduced in this time. Tracy’s organisational and commercial leadership have been critical to the hospital’s evolution. It is now home to more than 20 doctors and 40 permanent and casual staff members.
Together with Fran, Tracy has created a world-class culture and private hospital environment, with Windsor Private regularly ranking amongst the highest across Nexus for staff, patient and doctor satisfaction.
Tracy will be remembered for her infectious enthusiasm and positive spirit. Her thoughtfulness and work ethic are second to none, and we are fortunate that as one of our senior hospital leaders, Tracy has embedded these traits in both the Windsor Private and wider Nexus teams – a legacy we will honour into the future.
We wish Tracy all the very best with the next phase of her life as she takes the opportunity to spend time with her family and pursue her passion for travel.
