Credentialing
If you are interested in operating at Pennant Hills Day Surgery, you are welcome to book a tour of our facility. Please contact our Director of Nursing Michelle Devine at m.devine@phdaysurgery.com.au. We will then send you an Application for accreditation form, and request your:
- AHPRA Registration
- Evidence of 100 points of ID
- Indemnity insurance Certificate
- CV
- Two references
- Working with Children Check
Our Director of Nursing will check your references and present all documents to the Pennant Hills Day Surgery Medical Advisory Committee representative. You will be provided with temporary accreditation until your application has been reviewed by the committee.
Following approval at the next Medical Advisory Committee meeting, full privileges can be granted for a three-year term.
Hospital by-laws
All Nexus Hospitals operate under by-laws approved by the Nexus Hospitals Board. These by-laws empower medical staff, giving assurance of quality hospital medical care.
The by-laws outline the management policies approved by the Board, and document:
- the Terms of Reference for the Pennant Hills Day Surgery Medical Advisory Committee
- the process of accrediting practitioners at Pennant Hills Day Surgery and defining their scope of practice
- the obligations of accredited practitioners in relation to the safety and quality of care patients receive, including patient privacy, open disclosure, infection control and reporting, and medical research
- the expected conduct of accredited practitioners at Pennant Hills Day Surgery.

Supporting your practice
Our goal is to ensure every aspect of your practice management and patient care is seamless. So we will work with your practice manager to ensure our processes can be integrated into their workflows. We encourage your staff to visit our hospital to see and experience your patient journey first hand.
We will also work with you to configure aspects of our operating theatres to suit your procedures and preferences.
On your first day with us, you’ll be given a comprehensive tour of all the facilities, introduced to our staff, and provided with a car park swipe access card.
GPs and referrers
Pennant Hills Day Surgery provides excellent facilities, using the latest equipment, and experienced and dedicated nursing and support staff. Our goal is to help you perform at your best, ensuring the best possible outcome for patients.
We pride ourselves on giving our surgeons a concierge-like service. Surgeon feedback and ideas are welcomed, and we can tailor our services according to your requirements.
