In order to fund our continuing expansion into the future, Nexus Hospitals is also proud to announce that Mercury Capital (www.mercurycapital.com.au) are now the major shareholder in the group from 30 June 2016. Mercury Capital has bought out the majority shareholding held by our previous equity partner Wolseley Private Equity, and has committed significant additional capital to support the future growth of Nexus. We continue to be supported by Macquarie Bank Ltd who also provide funding for our acquisitions and expansion developments.
The strong show of faith from continuing shareholder doctors and Mercury’s significant investment is testament to the strong reputation that Nexus has built for delivering excellent clinical services and a genuine partnership model with doctors. We’re excited by the prospect of continuing to develop our surgeon networks across the country and further build on Nexus’s growing importance as a leading provider of day-only and short-stay surgical services.
