Annual Awards: Best Patient Experience Initiative
Sharing in our hospitals’ initiatives, success stories and filmmaking talents at Nexus’s Patient Experience Awards ceremony has been an extraordinary and memorable event. Now in its third year, this is Nexus’s biggest annual event to acknowledge and appreciate every employee and hospital for the superior care they provide to patients and families.
With 12 entries for the Best Patient Feedback Award and 15 entries for the main Patient Experience Awards, it was encouraging to witness the commendable initiatives across the Nexus Group. A huge shout out to this year’s winners (and with a few honourable mentions):
Special Award: Best Patient Feedback
Canberra Private Hospital wins best patient feedback for the second consecutive year! Their patient feedback reflected a world-class standard, praising the hospital’s professionalism, teamwork, patient-centric approach, and inviting atmosphere.
Special mention went to Bunbury Day Hospital, Insight Private and Sunshine Coast Haematology & Oncology Clinic (SCHOC) for their excellent entries.
Annual Award: Best Patient Experience
Gold Winner – Pennant Hills Day Surgery
Proud recipients of the winning vase and team prize, Pennant Hills has created Mandarin written patient information to enhance the experience for Chinese patients and families who may experience language barriers.
Silver Winner – North Lakes Day Hospital
Known for their paediatric ENT services, North Lakes clinched the Silver award with new paediatric brochures and streamlined processes, helping parents better prepare for their children’s surgeries.
Bronze Winner – Vermont Private Hospital
The Vermont team implemented a ‘Deep Dive’ into their patients’ experience, mapping out key touch points to delight, engage, empathise with, and personalise each patient’s hospital experience.
These awards have brought forth a wealth of expertise and offered a fresh perspective on how our hospitals deliver world-class experiences to patients. The knowledge shared across our group has catalysed new and improved changes at our facilities, reinforcing Nexus’s commitment to providing a standard of care we are immensely proud of.
Congratulations to all the teams that submitted entries with a wide range of innovative ideas displayed to enhance each patient’s experience. Here’s to the remarkable work you’ve all achieved and our great anticipation for the next awards!
