Rachel believes that all patients deserve exceptional care because healthcare is an industry that will touch us all at some point in our lives. Having worked in healthcare for over 20 years, she is proud to be involved in an industry that exists to care for those in need rather than simply make a profit. This depth of experience helps her build long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships with a broad range of stakeholders, such as industry groups, surgical specialists, and suppliers and distributors of medical products and services.
In collaboration with our hospital leaders and clinical evaluation committee members, Rachel negotiates procurement partnerships and service level agreements with our preferred suppliers.
Rachel is enthusiastic about tackling the amount of waste produced in the healthcare industry and serves as the lead for ESG strategies at Nexus. Under her guidance, Nexus partners with like-minded suppliers who are critically evaluating the environmental impact of their supply chains or producing reusable or biodegradable alternatives to traditional single-use plastics. We can all do better, and Nexus strives to be a leader in this area.
When she’s not at her desk, you’ll find Rachel keeping up with her energetic young son or planning their next travel adventures as a family.
