Disaster Management Plan
Nexus has activated an Incident Management Team (IMT) to coordinate and manage our response to Cyclone Alfred for our seven Nexus Hospitals in the region. The General Managers/Directors of Nursing of our facilities are working closely with their local leadership teams to ensure preparedness. Please be assured that our hospitals are prepared and have contingency plans in place. This includes access to clean drinking water and backup generators to ensure essential services in the event of a power outage, enabling safe continuity of care for our patients.
Staying Updated
We will continue to provide updates on our response to Tropical Cyclone Alfred to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our team, patients, and their families. This includes advising our ability to resume admissions and treatment of patients next week. This will depend on the impact on our facilities, staff and doctors from the cyclone and any flooding or other damage.
Please continue to refer to this page for important updates to help you stay safe and informed over the coming days.
Yours faithfully,
Nexus Hospitals Group
